NEWS

I am recently back from a whirlwind trip to Wyoming for an artist reception for a gallery exhibit of my work at Ucross Foundation. Ucross (a top notch artist residency) provides support to artists while in residency at their beautiful location. That valued support continues well past the residency in how they champion their alumni. I was lucky and honored to be chosen as their inaugural artist for a new program showcasing past residents. The reception was September 23rd and it was fabulous!! Thank you, thank you, Ucross Foundation for your deeply meaningful ongoing support, friendship and so much more. You truly are the best.

Photos of my work which are for sale (in the stunningly beautiful Ucross gallery in the Big Red Barn) can be found in the Ucross Foundation link below. My paintings will be on exhibit there until February 19th, 2026 but there are always exceptional exhibits including "Luminous Forms" which runs concurrent with my exhibit. If you are in the area, please check it out.

I’m also recently back from two stellar residencies in Virginia. The first, Oak Spring Garden Foundation (OSGF) was a repeat residency for me. It is one of my all time favorite residencies. OSGF is spread out on 750 acres in northern Virginia, not far from Shenandoah National Park so tons of good walking. The second residency was at Virginia Center of Creative Arts (VCCA) near Lynchburg. A huge stunningly beautiful barn graces the property where many artists, including me, had their studio. While in residence there, I was honored to be invited to give a short artist’s talk at the Daura Museum of Art. Thanks VCCA for facilitating this amazing opportunity!!

UPCOMING NEWS

I will be going to Sweden for a month long artist residency! This is definitely an out of the way location in the north, just a few hours south of the Arctic Circle. I hear there are wolves, moose and grizzly bears just like there are in Alaska. Who knew that northern Sweden had this kind of wildlife?? There are also lakes galore, waterfalls, nearby mountains, and hopefully, northern lights. I can’t wait to explore a new country and paint some of their beautiful landscapes and plants. And you know I can’t pass up on an artist residency in a really cool spot, right?
